Church Staff
Covenant Baptist Church of Chattanooga began in 1992 and has a heart for people. If you are looking for a place where you can make a difference in your community, as well as in the world, this may be the church you have been looking for. We are not a megachurch, but we have a Savior who is interested in all believers becoming more and more like Him. We are here to help you grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We would love for you to come and worship with us at Covenant Baptist Church of Chattanooga. We actively cooperate with the Hamilton County Baptist Association, the Tennessee Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention in reaching our world for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Pastor
Bob Patty
Bob is a native of Chattanooga. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Business Administration and a Master of Divinity Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been a pastor since 1981 and has pastored churches in Mississippi and Georgia as well as Tennessee. He enjoys golf, fishing and computers. He has made international mission trips to both Jamaica and Romania since 1998. Bob has been the pastor of Covenant Baptist Church since May 7, 2003. He and his wife Kathy have been married for over 44 years and have 4 grown children and 10 grandchildren.

David Gibbs
David is a native of Chattanooga. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He has retired after spending 30 years in the Walker County Georgia school system as both a teacher and an administrator at Rossville Middle School. David is one of the charter members of Covenant Baptist Church and has served as the Minister of Music since 1999. David enjoys woodworking, model trains, sports of all kinds, music, yard work and travelling to such places as Israel. He is also an accomplished trumpet player. He and his wife Carol have been married for over 36 years and have 1 pet dog.
